I’m working towards a solo exhibition next year in April at The Corner Store Gallery. I often collect foliage and flowers on the roadside while driving. We recently travelled overnight to the Southern Highlands to see some of my work in an exhibition and I collected this greenery on the road home. I’ve become a little obsessed with the different types of eucalyptus leaves you can find around the Central West lately. They aren’t really green, they’re almost blue or grey in tone. I created this series of photographs to work from for my upcoming exhibition. I’d like to create a series of paintings based on the colour and form of eucalyptus foliage. Watch this space…
